Overall, and so far, this is a great printer. Pictures are fast, clear, and have good color. Documents are great. I am not a photography aficionado, so I cannot speak to the finer points about hues and what happens when you alter the exposure, etc., etc.
OVERALL THIS IS ONE FINE PRINTER, BEST (BUT NOT MOST EXPENSIVE) OF THE SIX I HAVE PREVIOUSLY OWNED.
PICTURE CLARITY IS IMPRESSIVE.

I highly recommend this printer, it's a great multi use printer with excellent photo handling and print quality.
Pros: Access to the paper trays is excellent. Cons: Installation is not the easiest but is tolerable. The Bottom Line: Much easier to use and less annoying than the HP -- buy the Canon.
