Overall, and so far, this is a great printer. Pictures are fast, clear, and have good color. Documents are great. I am not a photography aficionado, so I cannot speak to the finer points about hues and what happens when you alter the exposure, etc., etc.
OVERALL THIS IS ONE FINE PRINTER, BEST (BUT NOT MOST EXPENSIVE) OF THE SIX I HAVE PREVIOUSLY OWNED.
PICTURE CLARITY IS IMPRESSIVE.
Pros: Very reliable and extrodinary quality Cons: Should use only Cannon Inks I've owned my PIXMA long enough to have run into its cons ( should use cannon inks) but
Quite pleased initially. Time will tell what happens to the print head. I will update this review if a catastrophe occurs.
Pros: EVERYTHING! Cons: None so far The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this printer for these reasons: A: quality of prints, B: ease of use, C: extra paper tray that can hold alternate different size paper
read reviews in here about this printer so I thought I would return and give my thoughts on this printer after buying it. I bought this printer for $172.00 with a $20.00 rebate. The good points about this printer are very sharp and rich colors for your ph
I highly recommend this printer, it's a great multi use printer with excellent photo handling and print quality.
Pros: Access to the paper trays is excellent. Cons: Installation is not the easiest but is tolerable. The Bottom Line: Much easier to use and less annoying than the HP -- buy the Canon.
Strengths: Print from camera, give-away price, unbelieveable print quality. Weaknesses: a lot of cartridges Summary: (Edited December 23rd by jack_bunce) I can't believe you can buy a printer of this quality for what I paid for it.

One of the best photo printer I owned. What I like is that it can print directly from digital cameras & memory cards. The nice feature of LCD to select and view photos is good as do you not have to have a computer. A great printer altogether.

Before I bought this printer I was ify about Canon. Canon printers seem to take forever to start up after turning them on and took awhile to start printing, which made them a bit nosiy. Well, when I went to a store and printed photo and text documents to
Did not buy this printer from Amazon.com because I found a better deal at Office Depot's post Thanksgiving Day sale for 125.00 after rebates but I will give my opinions here for the IP6600D. For this price I can live the shortcommings of the lower tr
If you're looking for a low-cost printer that prints REAL photo-quality prints on high-quality paper, this IS the one! I have printed photos on Epson, HP, and Lexmark, but none approach the quality of prints coming off this machine. It is remarkable.
I've only had this printer a few days, but so far so good. It is really fast and the print quality is very good. The only reason that I say it isn't excellent is that with the default settings and Canon Photo Pro paper, shots taken indoors witho
Ok, I'm just a typical home photographer but I think the printer is spectacular. People can't believe that my glossy photos were printed from home. Easy to set up, easy to use, and wireless printing (using an adapter you must buy separately) to
I did a good amount of research before buying this printer. After seeing that it got a top rating from cnet.com and itp.net, I splurged and bought the iP6600D. I just got the printer today, and set it up in about 10 minutes. Print graphics on plain paper
Printing photos that you've taken and tweaked yourself has always been scads of fun. That is until you need more INK ! To me that is the biggest drawback, the second is photo paper. Although paper prices are more reasonable these days they could/shoul
The PIXMA iP6600D photo printer is the quintessential printer. Your photos will impress and everybody will want to know what photo printer you have. This PIXMA model makes you a creative artist. I wouldn't want another brand other than a Canon. I own
This is a great printer for a customer who wants to print photos only. It gives you the variation of color with the photo cyan and Magenta, and it also has many features that other printers don't. First it has the ability to do Duplex printing (or pr

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the photo prints from the PIXMA iP6600D. Good saturation without being cartoony. Smooth prints with the Canon Photo Pro paper. Great options whether printing from a camera or from the desktop. Quick, too - I ha
I opened up the box and in ten minutes I was printing. I love the clarity of the pictures but it makes a difference what kind of paper you use. The Canon paper works great. I have not used the computer to make any changes to the images but the pictures I
I love this printer! I have owned HP printers in the past, but never a photo printer. I did a lot of research before choosing this printer and I couldn't be happier! I am a fanatic about my pictures being photo lab quality (it took me a long time bef
I bought this printer to replace a Canon BJC6000 that had been having some problems. I noticed that it didn't include a USB cable in the box, so I ordered one at the same time as the printer. No problem there. It took about 5-10 minutes to get it up a
I really like this printer. It prints out wonderful pictures that come out just as good, if not better, than the ones I have printed at a photo lab. It does text just as well. I haven't used the PictBridge function yet, as I have to have an adaptor f
I purchased this printer a few weeks ago. I chose it over a similar HP model because of the duplex printing feature. It automatically flips the paper around and prints both sides of the page and also keeps multiple copies collated...very neat! I am very p
Duplex printing, big preview screen, multiple photo input sources, good speed, very good photo print quality, fairly quiet, separate ink tanks... The list goes on. My only suggestion is a built-in Ethernet network port
Excellent value for the price. Printer is compact, attractive, and performs well with high quality results.
I've just started using this printer. So far I can say it is an excellent printer. I'm pleased with the product, and with the service received from amazon.com.Sam Green.
I have read some of the reviews about color and paper issues. I just got mine yesterday, and was very nervous about buying paper to feed it. After considering the things I read online, I was going to spend the extra money and go with cannon paper, but dec
I'm not a big review writer but I had to leave a comment on this printer. We just got it and I love it. The pictures are beautiful. Someone had mentioned a red cast to the pictures. I had this too and it was easily fixed. I followed some instructions
Unless you're willing to spend 350-400+ for a wide format photo printer (13x19 or greater..i9900 or others coming out soon), this one will do the trick for 8x10 or less. LCD viewer in middle will also serve as a cardreader for your pictures and send
I bought this printer to print 8*10 photograph in a temporary photo booth set up at a recent local festival. I used with a 4 MP camera and a notebook. I must have printed more than 110 photos over a two day period. The photograps were stunning, to say the

This is a great printer and the photo prints are perfect. Very easy to use this printer. I really like being able to have photo paper and standard paper loaded at the same time.
I have tested and/ or used three (3) different such printers and found that this was the best one by far.
The printer was very easy for me to set up and install, if I can do it anyone can. The quality of the print is excellent even on plain paper. I have not explored all of its possibilities but will be doing so hoping all continues to be as easy and satisfac
This printer is VERY easy to use. The quality of the prints it produces are indistinguishable from those you'd receive from a first rate print shop. My technological challenged wife loves it and is even able to replace the print cartridges! Changing
Not the fastest printer, but it is a good solid home printer. With the seperate carraterage for bordersless 4/6 precut. This printer also does a nice job on grayscale printing.Again there are better printers on the market, but for general home usage as wel
I am not a techie - and don't ususally write reviews - just glean from others. -- But I have to tell you - this Pixma 6600 is THE BEST!! - I've had it about a month. I took it out of the box - plugged it in and photographs are perfect - self-mad
I just purchased this printer last night and was stunned at the image quality. Granted, I shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel XTi which produces amazing pictures at 10 megapixels, but this printer lives up to those great shots and prints brilliant pictures.
I dearly love my canon pixma ip6600D printer for my scrapbooking hobby. The photos are of photo lab quality. It allows me to print up to an8 1/2 by 11 picture of great quality. I also have a canon compact photo printer CP220. It limited my pictures sizes
