Been printing on this a while and still haven't run into the ink problem. Set up was easy. The network functions for scanning and printing are great!!! This was a good bargain.
I bought this to replace my Dell AIO960 and I like it so much better. It is more compact and prints better. It is quite and has great features. I would recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a reliable multi-function printer.
The MFC-440CN is the best investment in printers that I've ever made. You won't find a better multi-function networking all-in-one for the price, and I couldn't ask for better quality and performance. Having always had problems attempting t
I absolutly Love this product! It is, in my opinion, the best you can buy for the money! And the ink is very reasonable too!
Good machinates of fax, very efficient rapid I can escaniar ducumentos and them file, screen to color that illustrate images
I was initially attracted to this model because of a special offer from a major office retailer at a price below $80. Checking various sources I found the usual retail price to be between $129-149...even that was below other mfg's for machines with t
Pros: Superb scan and print quality at any level, whether photo or documents Cons: Supplied Scan/Print software The Bottom Line: Superb print quality
Bought to replace an HP All-in-One...I hate HP's outrageous ink cartridge prices & because it had network capability. I love the ability to replace only the color needed. It works well with my Linux, Mac & Windows machines. And I was pleasant
The cart.'s for my Canon fax machine cost about forty $ so I decided to give this a chance instead. Bought it for under a hundred, and never looked back. Got it working on Vista Business after downloading new drivers off of Brother. I'll use thi
I printed a 98 page color document and 10 color photos using this printer and it dropped the yellow and magenta to 1/2 - 2/3 the cyan to 2/3 and barely touched the black. this printer hardly uses any ink it seems.
Would have preferred the connections on the outside, network and USB. The lid support is a bit recalcitrant on closing.
I upgraded to Windows Vista Ultimate. My HP 1115 PhotoSmart printer and my Canon FB320P Scanner were no longer being supported in Vista. The HP was not that old but the Canon Scanner was Ancient. Hp suggested I buy a new printer when I was totally happy w
I ordered this unit for my father based on my good experiences with a different (lower) Brother model. This one is even better with the network capabilities. Print quality is excellent and the ink is cheaper than other brands. He is very happy with it and
I have no complaints with this product. It amazes me a device with so many features for such a low cost can produce the quality of images of the Brother MFC-440cn. It replaced (and improved the quality and speed) of three devices, and freed lots of room a
Not wanting to end up with yet another dissapointing printer, I did a lot of researching before purchasing the brother 440cn... It is better than I expected. Unlike some online review sites indicate, I find the print quality excellent, and it is faster th
I used to use a Brother MFC-3240C, which is an excellent all-in-one, but due to the fact that the 3240C used the Super G3 fax protocol, I couldn't use it to fax with my VoIP Internet Phone service. I needed one that uses the regular G3 fax protocol.
This is a great multifunction machine at a great price. I took the free shipping option and was willing to wait, but received it in 2 days any way. Very pleased.
i love my Brother all in one printer is great .I'll tell every one by one is very good .
My HP finally gave out, so I did some research before buying a new printer. This printer has great features for this or any price :Fax, Copy, Scan, Photo capture. All, except scan, can be used with the computer turned off.Oh yes it also has a network connec
This all-in-one printer, copier, fax, and scanner is just right for me. The quality of the print is great, the speed is fine, and it is quiet. I just discovered that I can set up my fax speed dials from my computer. No more punching in the numbers on the
My old one died (yes, error 41) and I needed a new one. Tired of Brother printers, I looked elsewhere only to find that they don't work well on a home network. So here I am, back again, buying a Brother, the notorious waster of ink. Yet, it is great.
This all in one printer is the best peice of equipment in my office, it does it all.
just bought this printer from office depot for less than $100 and it was very easy to set it up and so far its doing a very good job.
This is a freat multifunction printer but it is too expensive, I found the same product locally for $88.
Pros: Copy, scan, fax, print conveniently; low cost printer cartridges; good price Cons: So-so picture prints; prints slower than claimed; 10 page sheet-feeder; 100 page paper tray The Bottom Line: Good solid all-in-one unit for home or small office.
Pros: Versatile, good overall performance Cons: No handset to allow out of the box use as second phone, expensive ink replacement The Bottom Line: An excellent combination unit. More precise output should be performed on dedicated units.
If you want to print top quality photos, spend more money and get an Ep5on printer designed for just that. If you print a lot, then get a machine made for higher volume. This machine is perfect for my wife and I at home because it takes little space in ou
I recently purchased this product. Honestly i'm a hp fan, i think that if your really need a printer that prints quailty than hp is your best answer. Anyway, this product isen't that bad, for a hundred dollar product. So far printing is good, sca
Very easy to setup and use. I am happy with the proformance, and the print cartridges are inexpensive.
i've printed a couple of photos on this thing already as well as having used the copy function and just printing regular old stuff. i'm very happy with the printer. i've got it hooked up via a cat 5 cable into my router and all my computers
I love everything about this Brother multi-function. EXCEPT ... the cheap, flimsy, sorry paper tray. I just do not like that paper tray. You have to take it all the way out to reload the paper, it prints off center, and it is rickety and just does not liv
The MFC 440CN is promoted as as working w/ VISTA. This is not true. The OCR software is not included and Brother Support says the following:Brother Customer:Thank you for taking the time to write to us.At this time, the OCR function will not work because
I've always been a fan of Brother products. I currently own two of their laser printers and couldn't be more pleased with the quality and features of the products compared to the price I paid. With the MFC-400cn, the features continue to impress
Great Multifunction. Easy network setup. My two pet-peevs:1) Default setting is the fax. It really aught to be the copier. C'mon Brother.2) The paper tray. I've removed it twice. Once when I got it, the second time when I refilled it. That time
Overall the printer is good, but the answering machine crashes twice a week.. I have to restart the whole printer and sometimes I lose a few messages. The CUPS drivers that came with Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy) didn't work, I had to install the cups wrapper
I purchased the Brother MFC-440cn with high hopes after reading several positive reviews. Unfortunately, I have been extremely disappointed with the purchase. The print quality is only mediocre, even on the "best" settings. The paper handling is
Pros: Style, size, and multi-functional Cons: Paper loading problems, poor quality of picture printouts
Pros: Good scanner, copies OK. Cons: Slow, slow and quality of prints just so so.
Was so annoyed when it told me it was out of ink after barely using it (over a period of about 3 months) that I just replaced it with a different printer for a few bucks more than a new set of cartridges. With all the problems, it's just not worth an
Pros: Small compact design with lots of features. Looks nice Cons: Frustrating to use. Cheats you with unnecessary ink consumption. The Bottom Line: I would go with Lexmark. HP has bad customer service and shaky products at the bottom end in my experience
Pros: easy to use Cons: Expensive on ink. Will not operate at all when runs out of ink.
I deleted my original review which I include at the end of this updated version. This thing went through three sets of ink cartridges in six weeks of very light use and this weekend, it stopped working completely. I hate this new generation of ripoff home
I just installed one of these for a friend and in the instructions Brother tells you that you must use the cartridge before the expiration date on the cartridge package or six months after you place it into the machine. This means that if the machine has b
